Associate Professor Graham Radford-Smith is Head of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Research Group at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute and Head of IBD and TPN services, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Graham has developed one of the largest bio-resources in this field, linking a major IBD centre with a world-class research facility. He has published extensively on clinical and scientific aspects of IBD, focusing recently on the genetic architecture of these disorders and how genes contribute to disease phenotype. Graham and his team have recently developed the first major IBD Telehealth service in Australia, linking the Royal Brisbane to regional centres. He is Past-President, GE Society of Queensland, past member of the AIBDA and GESA research committees, a founding member of the International IBD Genetics Consortium, and founder of the ANZ IBD Consortium, a collaborative of 16 IBD centres across our region.
